Nobody would wish to be stuck in the middle of the ocean because the boat wasn’t filled with the proper fuel to reach its destination.. So what’s the appropriate “fuel” for the body to function?  Here is where anthropology and biology come in.. As we know it takes about 20’000 years for our DNA to adapt to new molecules, do we believe that the human body is fully accustomed to pizza, vinegar, Red bull and chocolate?

We’ve all heard of traditional japanese tribes reaching a very respectable age due mostly to the consumption of raw fish, and also the nutritive properties and anti-cancer molecules like Omega 3, Omega 6, contained in its fats..  This of course shouldn’t be confused with the current Sushi food heresy, which mixes up frozen “fresh” fish of various kinds with vinegar-rice, plus mustard-concentrated Wasabi, oyster industrial sauce, avocado, syrup- coated ginger etc. which though is very tasty and fashionable, but cannot give us the nutriments naturally present in fresh raw fish accompanied solely with fully compatible foods like algae, salad, vegetable soup, fresh ginger, mushrooms, etc.

In this way, taste-enhancing additives like syrup, vinegar and mustard could preferably be removed from the menu, while carbohydrates like rice be consumed in a separate meal, earlier or later on. Next time you get invited to a sushi restaurant, try to compose your menu accordingly, you may need to eat more fish and veggies or soup to feel satiated, but it will be a gift to your digestive system while leaving you satisfied to have attended the meal in good company.. The Sushi Bar system lets you pick and compose your own meal, without having to talk about your diet or going through explanations on food combinations :)
